Guernsey 2023 – Natwest International Island Games – The Overview

The 2023 Natwest International games held in Guernsey as host have been hugely succesful. It was also the best games medal haul for Ynys Mon ever!! As MerseaToJersey, three of us travelled out to Guernsey to once again give our support to Ynys Mon. After the Games Makers welcomed the ferry from Poole, it was off to find our campsite. The Buzz of the Games

It has been a very long four years since we all gathered in Gibraltar in 2019. The world as a whole has changed a lot in that time. In all that time I have used sport as my escapism, it’s actually been NFL and the mighty Kansas City Chiefs that have been my saviour. Women’s Football – Statistical Preview

We’ve looked at the men’s football tournament for Guernsey 2023’s Island Games, and now it’s the turn of the women. This tournament is easier to predict in that all sides have competed before and there are a few games where the sides have not met before. Group Stage Ten sides are entering the tournament this year. Group A features three-time winners Aland and they are down to win every game based on previous head-to-head records. After four years away, it’s very nearly time to welcome back Island Games football back into our lives. Guernsey will be the hosts this time for the tournament taking place between 9-14th July. Us M2J boys love our stats and have been creating spreadsheets for all the team sports at the Games.
